FAQs

  • Our KAL (knitalong) is free to participate in. The KAL isn’t a formal class, and you don’t have to attend every session. Drop in and out as you like. Come to each session with your materials and be surrounded by others making the same pattern!

During the sessions, Jamie will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and answer questions on your KAL.

To join in, sign up using the form below and come to the shop prior to the start date to pick out your yarn and any notions you don’t already have. Amy and Isabel will be in the shop to help you pick your correct size and yarn.

  • Cherry is a pullover that’s worked seamlessly from the top down with a small section of stranded colorwork dots at the neckline.

You can choose between four different sleeve shapes for your garment:

    • Elbow-length Bell Sleeves (photos)

    • Long Voluminous Sleeves (photos)

    • Elbow-length Puff Sleeves (photos)

    • Short Puff Sleeves (photos)

It is a relatively quick project at a loose gauge with big size needles. In spite of knitting with worsted weight yarn, the loose gauge gives soft, light texture and beautiful drape!

While it calls for worsted, the designer says that you can also use lace or fingering weight yarn as the main body yarn. Jamie used two laceweights held double in the sample she is wearing above! Do what is exciting for you to knit and what you love to wear :)

  • We suggest this pattern for very confident beginners and above.

During this pattern, you will work a garment seamlessly from the top down and do short sections of colorwork. You will use a cable cast on and german short rows, knitting through the back loop, i-cord bind offs, k2tog, kfb, and pick up stitches. The designer provides links to these techniques in the ravelry listing if you would like to see any of them beforehand.

The best way to learn a new skill is just to dive in. If these are new techniques for you, the group and Jamie will be there to guide you through it! Be prepared for a fun but challenging knit.

  • This pattern is written for 3 different size ranges: XS–M (L–XL, 2XL–3XL)

    Body Measurements

    XS–M: 81–94 cm / 32–37 inches

    L–XL: 94–110 cm / 37–43 inches

    2XL–3XL: 110–122 cm / 43–48 inches

    Finished Bust Measurements

    51 ¼ (57 ½, 61 ¾)”

This pattern is written with a considerable amount of ease (the amount of space between the garment and your body). This allows it to fit a wider range of sizes comfortably. you aren’t listed in the official size range, take a look at the finished measurements and pick a size based on the amount of ease you would like.

Does picking a size stress you out? We are always happy to take your measurements and help pick out the right size for you!
