Level: Confident Beginner. Be comfortable knitting, purling, binding on, binding off. You don’t need have any previous cable knowledge to take this class.
Knit a light, cabled tank top that’s perfect for the upcoming warm season! This class will provide you with hands-on guidance as you learn shaping for a great fitting garment, cabling, and working a garment from the bottom up. In the course of this class, Tamara will demystify these techniques and equip you to expand your garment horizons.
Students have the choice to make either the Terra Top or Della Mae Tank.
Here’s how the class will break down each session:
Session 1: Checking your gauge swatch, getting started and comfortable with cables
Session 2: Ready for armhole split and shaping
Session 3: Necklines and finishing
Materials:
Terra Top or Della Mae Tank pattern, purchased from Ravelry
Yarn, needles and notions as indicated by pattern (we are always happy to help you choose a size and help you pick out what you need for class)
Clover J-hook style cable needle or cable needle style of choice (we have lots of different styles)
