Crochet 102: Hats

So you’ve learned your basic crochet stitches- what’s next?
Build upon your knowledge with a hat project! A hat is the perfect way to learn the next set of skills that will translate to any future crochet adventure. In this fun two part class, Anna will teach you how to make the Simple Seed Stitch Beanie by Kirsten Holloway Designs using a 5.5mm crochet hook. This hat makes a great fall/winter accessory or gift for a loved one in your life. It is sized for an adult: S/M/L/XL, or a child: 6-10 yrs.
In this class, you will learn:
How to make a magic circle
How to crochet in the round
How to increase stitches
How to stitch through the front and back post of stitches
How to imitate a knit stitch using crochet
Class supplies:
Simple Seed Stitch Beanie pattern, sourced from the designer on Ravelry
Worsted weight yarn (225 yards)
5.5 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
Homework:
Prior to class, please come in to purchase your yarn and have it wound. Please also have a copy of the pattern available either printed or on your device.
